A five-letter word is hidden somewhere in the dictionary, and you find it by closing in from both sides.\n\nHOW IT PLAYS\nEvery guess must be a real word. It takes its place on the board: above the hidden word if it comes first in the alphabet, below it if it comes after, and it stays there as a new bound. The answer is always between the two bounds, and the window only ever closes.\n\nEach bound tells you how many dictionary words still separate it from the answer. Counted in words, not letters, so the feedback stays sharp right to the last guess.\n\nYou have fifteen guesses a round.\n\nWHAT HELPS\n• The row you type in turns green for a real word inside the window, slate for a real word outside it, and red for something that isn't a word.
