Hard links are counted once, not twice. Cloud folders live on someone else's server, so they are left out and labelled instead of inflating your total. Folders that will not answer are reported, never silently skipped.\n\nPRIVATE BY DESIGN\n\nDiskscape reads only the folder you choose, and nothing about your files ever leaves your Mac. No account, no network, no analytics, no third-party SDKs. It reads names, sizes and dates to draw the map.
