Any ground colour, from black, graphite and navy to paper and cream, and any dot colour, from a swatch or the system colour picker. Eight accents, and sixteen app icons to match.\n\nThe preview is your lock screen. The date, the clock and the two bottom buttons are drawn over the wallpaper, so you see the finished screen before you save. Drag the dots up or down to move them out from under the clock, pinch to size them, swipe sideways for the next look, tap to hide the clock. The Place tray has Move and Size sliders if you prefer those.\n\nSave draws the wallpaper at this iPhone's native pixel size and adds it to Photos as a PNG. Then Photos, Share, Use as Wallpaper. iOS does not let an app set the wallpaper itself; Photos is the two-tap hand-off.\n\nKeep Year and Life current with Shortcuts. Dotwall gives Shortcuts an action, Get Today's Dotwall, that returns today's image at this iPhone's size. A daily automation at 00:05 that runs Get Today's Dotwall and then Set Wallpaper Photo keeps today's dot moving. The recipe is in Settings.\n\nA Home Screen widget, Year in dots, in small, medium and large, drawn in your look and ground colour and redrawn every day.\n\nPrivate by design. Dotwall has no account, no sync and no networking code at all. Your words, your birthday and your colours stay on this iPhone, in the app. The wallpaper is drawn here and saved to your own Photos with add-only access: Dotwall can add photos, never read them.
