The only\nway to get your phone back early is to do the work you planned.\n\nTHE PROBLEM\n\nA blocked phone gives you an empty hour. It doesn't give you a finished\none. Most blockers stop there, so you sit through the hour, get nothing\ndone, and eventually turn the blocker off. \nA to-do list has the opposite problem: it holds everything you intend and nothing that makes any of it\nstart.\n\nHOW IT WORKS\n\nBlock your phone. Set recurring stretches of the day, or start one right\nnow for as long as you like. Each block has its own list of what it shuts\nout — whole categories, or individual apps.\n\nSay what done looks like. Before a session starts you write three\nversions: the least that would still count, a good result, and more than\nyou expected. The smallest one exists so there is always a version you\ncould manage on a bad day.\n\nWork. While you are in a session the block's countdown runs 1.5x\nfaster so working is genuinely the quicker way out. Both clocks are on\nscreen at once.\n\nReport and reflect. You say how it went, then spend a minute on what got\ndone, what fought back, and what you will want to know next time. You can\nread all of it back later.\n\nEARNING YOUR PHONE BACK\n\nFive minutes of focus earns one minute of phone time. It is only earned\ninside a session, it is deliberately stingy, and it expires at midnight.\nThere is no other way to get it.\n\nSTRICT, IF YOU WANT IT\n\nAny block can be marked strict. While it runs you cannot release it, edit\nit, delete it, or uninstall Forge. You can always lift everything by\nturning off Forge's access in Settings > Screen Time, and the app tells\nyou so.\n\nWHAT IT WILL NOT DO\n\nNo streaks. No due dates. No red. Stopping early is recorded exactly like\nfinishing. Nothing in Forge counts the days you were away.\n\nPRIVACY\n\nForge collects no data. There is no account, no server, and no analytics.\nEverything stays on your device. The apps you block are represented by\nopaque Screen Time tokens that never leave your phone and that Forge\ncannot read.\n\nABOUT SCREEN TIME\n\nForge uses Apple's Screen Time APIs (Family Controls, Managed Settings,\nDevice Activity) to shield apps on the device it is installed on.\nRestrictions are self-imposed and apply only to your own device. Forge is\nnot a parental control app and cannot restrict anyone else's phone.\n\nForge does not back anything up. If you delete the app, your history goes\nwith it.",
