Days are shaded by how hard it rained, so a glance at the month tells you where the rain fell. Recording 0mm is its own reading — it means you checked the gauge and it was empty, which is different from not having checked at all.\n\nMORE THAN ONE GAUGE\nIf you have gauges in different spots, name them and record each one separately. Compare them side by side over a day, a week, a month or a year. Gauges are averaged rather than added, because they are all catching the same weather from different places.\n\nMORE THAN ONE PROPERTY\nKeep separate records for separate places.
