"description": "Mōnandæg is two field recorders that cannot leave anything alone.\n\nRecord what is around you — a street, a kitchen, a train — set the two ends of the loop, and let it run. Record a second take and the two loops run side by side. With LINK on, the shorter loop lines its head up with the longer one every time it comes round, so they stay in step however different their lengths are. With LINK off, they drift, and the drift is the piece.\n\nA running loop is worked on from the rooms:\n\nDECK — record, clear, undo; speed, reverse, and the two ends of the loop\nBAND — three bands and a low cut, copied from one deck to the other\nDISC — how the disc behaves: catching, opening, scattering, burning, healing\nBREAK — a step machine; one row of sixty-four squares shows as stripes below\nBITS — break it into grains\nFREEZE — hold one instant and stretch it\nVOID / CROSS / SEND — remove, cross, send\nPULSE — strike the squares\nSPEAK — type a line, have the device read it, and use that as material\nCHANCE — roll dice across the knobs\nLOOP — the loop itself\n\nThe shelf is the app's own folder in the Files app, so your own recordings go in and your takes come out, by hand, whenever you want.\n\nLandscape only. Everything happens on the device: no accounts, no network, no analytics. Recordings stay in the app and are never uploaded or shared.",
