"description": "Every café, barber and lunch place has its own paper punch card, and every one\nof them ends up in a drawer. PerkPoint puts all of them on your phone instead.\n\nJoin a shop once, and your card lives in the app. At the counter you show a QR\ncode, staff scan it, and the visit is on your card before you have put your\nphone away. No paper to forget, no card to lose, no app per shop.\n\nWHAT YOU GET\n\n• One app, every shop. Each shop you join gets its own card, with its own\n reward and its own count. Star the ones you use most and they sit at the top.\n\n• A card that shows where you are. Four of six visits collected, the reward\n written out in the shop's own words, and the date you started collecting.\n\n• A notification when a reward is ready, so you find out on your way past the\n shop rather than three visits later.\n\n• Your total across every shop, so nothing quietly expires unnoticed.\n\nHOW YOU JOIN A SHOP\n\nShops hand out a link or a short code — on a poster, a receipt, or the counter\nitself. Open the link, or type the code into the app, and the card is yours.\nThere is nothing to pay and nothing to set up.\n\nSIGNING IN\n\nNo password. You give an email address, we send a six-digit code, and that is\nthe whole of it. A phone number and a birthday are optional, and only there\nbecause some shops give a birthday reward.\n\nSOME SHOPS ASK FOR A PHOTO\n\nA handful of shops check a photo at the counter, so that a card someone else is\nholding cannot be used. If a shop asks, you can add a photo to that card — and\ntake it back whenever you want, from the same screen. Shops that do not ask\nnever see one.\n\nIF YOU WORK IN A SHOP\n\nThe same app is the shop's side. Sign in with your work email and you get the\ncounter instead of a card: scan a customer's code, see the visit land, mark a\nreward as used, and look up a customer who has left their phone at home. Shops\nrunning a till can use a USB barcode scanner or the web dashboard instead.\n\nYOUR DATA\n\nYour cards, visits and rewards are yours, and closing your account in Settings\ndeletes them — every shop, every visit, every reward waiting. It is one tap and\nit is not reversible, which is the point.\n\nPerkPoint is free for customers. You will need a shop that uses it: if your\nlocal does not yet, tell them — it costs them nothing to try.",
