"description": "Tracker is built for one thing: recording where you went, so you can share it.\n\nHiking deep in the jungle. Biking the Moab backcountry. Four-wheeling the\nFruita high desert. Press record, enjoy the trek, and share your route when you\nget back.\n\nRECORDS THE WHOLE TRIP\n\nA point every 30 feet, in the background, with the screen off and the phone in\nyour pocket. Distance, elevation gain and elapsed time update as you go, and a\nmarker appears each time you pass a whole mile.\n\nPause at the overlook and the track shows the pause, instead of drawing a\nstraight line across wherever you sat.\n\nEXPORTS AS GPX, NOT AS A SCREENSHOT\n\nEvery track saves as a standard GPX file that opens in most popular mapping\napps. Send one by email or AirDrop, or reach into the iOS Files app and take it\nyourself -- the tracks folder is right there.\n\nPlay a saved recording back on the map at three speeds, check the position\naccuracy you were getting, or delete what you no longer need.\n\nNOTHING TO SIGN UP FOR\n\nNo account, no sign-in, no subscription.\nNo analytics, crash reporting, or advertising.\nNo third-party SDKs, and no network code at all.\n\nYour tracks stay on your iPhone until you choose to send them somewhere. There\nis no server here to send them to.\n\nSPEAKS YOUR LANGUAGE, IN YOUR UNITS\n\nEnglish, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese and Norwegian, in miles or\nkilometres -- and you can override either one inside the app, whatever the\nphone is set to.\n\nNothing less. Nothing more.\n\nContinued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease\nbattery life. Tracker enables background location only while a recording is\nrunning, and switches it off the moment you stop.",
