But they come in\none key, and transposing is left to you. Here every diagram is\ngenerated from the scale and the tuning, so it is right in C, in E\nflat and in F sharp, and you pick the key with one tap.\n\nNECK\nWhere every note is. The whole scale, every octave, from the nut to\nthe fifteenth fret, with the root marked. Under it, the key's five\nCAGED forms, one per row, each with its chord tones and a strip of\nthe neck showing where the grip sits. They are the anchors every\nposition hangs off.\n\nSCALES\nEvery scale in the five CAGED positions, exactly as the sheet prints\nthem, each named by its form (A form, G form). Major and minor\npentatonic, major and natural minor, blues with the blue note called\nout, the seven modes and the arpeggios. The dots show the note or\nthe degree, and the key's triad can be marked inside the box.\n\nAnd the two things no sheet prints:\n\n  · CONNECT: two neighbouring positions on one neck, with the note\n    they share drawn hollow. That is where the hand moves across.\n  · DIAGONAL: the run that crosses the whole neck instead of staying\n    boxed in. Two and three notes per string for a pentatonic, three\n    per string for a scale or a mode.\n\nTRIADS\nOne chord in every region of the neck: the five forms, major and\nminor, each as a chord box with the pentatonic around it drawn\nunderneath and the chord tones ringed. Plus the arpeggio in the five\npositions.\n\nSEVENTHS\nThe seventh chords: major seventh, dominant, minor seventh, half\ndiminished and diminished. How each one is built, third by third,\nfrom the bottom up; the grips, the open one where it exists and the\nE and A forms; and the arpeggio in the five positions.\n\nHARMONY\nIt leads with the key: the tonic, the scale spelled out and the\nseven chords born from it, each with its grip drawn and the mode to\nsolo over it. Tap a chord and see its mode on the neck without\nleaving the key. Plus the circle of fifths, draggable, with your\nkey's two neighbours marked IV and V and the key signature in the\ncentre.\n\nTHE NECK SIDEWAYS\nAny diagram opens full screen, landscape, the way the neck lies\nacross your lap. The app turns the phone itself and turns it back\nwhen you close.\n\nTUNER AND METRONOME\ntraste's chromatic tuner, accurate to a fraction of a cent, and a\nmetronome locked to the audio clock. Both come along, because a\nstudy app that cannot tune the instrument is a second app to open.\n\nALSO\nFour languages, six themes in light and dark, a reference pitch from\n432 to 446 Hz. Every screen explains itself with a tap on the \"?\".\n\n100% OFFLINE\nNo account, no internet, no ads and no data collection of any kind.\nThe microphone is the only permission and it serves the tuner alone:\naudio is analysed on the device, as it arrives, and nothing is\nrecorded or sent.
