A translated book is saved as a new copy, preserving the original and opening in the target language. Requires iOS/iPadOS 18 or macOS 15 or later; availability depends on the language pair. The system may need to download language data the first time.\n\nSpeech is generated on your device without a cloud speech service. The optional LAN server is off by default and protected by an access token. On iPhone and iPad, the app must stay in the foreground to serve requests.",
