18/36 Coffee Companion

Great espresso starts with your beans and your taste. 18/36 helps you go from your first attempt to a recipe you will want to brew again.

The name comes from 18 grams of ground coffee and 36 grams of espresso in the cup. Use this ratio as a starting point to find the amounts and settings that work for your coffee.

FIND YOUR RECIPE Choose your beans and equipment. The app guides you through setting your grinder, grinding your coffee and pulling a shot. Then tell it how your coffee tastes. Based on your feedback and brewing details, 18/36 suggests adjustments for your next attempt.

BREW YOUR FAVORITES Save successful recipes with your beans. Next time, your grind setting, dose and timings are ready to use. Separate grinding and brewing timers, an adjustable countdown and optional sound cues guide you through preparation.

GET TO KNOW YOUR TASTE Sour or bitter, thin or heavy? Mark your impression on the taste pad. Add texture, a rating and notes if you like. After each saved shot, see the key details, including the actual ratio of ground coffee to espresso.

KEEP TRACK OF YOUR BEANS Manage your beans, roast dates and remaining quantities on your shelf. Mark favorites or sort by roast date to use older beans first. Scan a coffee bag to capture details from the label, then check them before saving.
