AureaView: Art Composition

AureaView is a visual composition tool for artists who paint outdoors.

Before starting your painting, view the scene through an adjustable viewfinder and study how to organize its elements. Experiment with framing, perspective, and proportions to make clearer decisions before bringing the landscape to your canvas.

Designed for plein air painting sessions, AureaView lets you:

• Use your device’s camera as a visual reference. • Import an image from your photo library. • Move, zoom, and adjust the scene within the viewfinder. • Work with 3:2, 4:3, 1:1, 16:9, 9:16, and golden ratio proportions. • Explore composition guides based on the rule of thirds, golden ratio, golden spiral, diagonal composition, and perspective. • Use one-point or two-point perspective. • Create custom grids to analyze the structure of a scene. • Rotate or flip the viewfinder to match your support and orientation. • Change the guide color for better visibility in different scenes. • Save and share your composition with or without guides. • Revisit recent compositions as references for your work.

Whether you work with oil, watercolor, acrylic, gouache, or drawing, AureaView helps you observe, analyze, and decide how to build your next artwork before making the first brushstroke.
