THE PILOT SHARES Tap “Share position” in the basket and send the link to your crew – via WhatsApp, SMS or email. Anyone who opens the link sees the balloon live on the map. The crew needs no app, a browser is enough.
THE CREW DRIVES THERE With “Go to Balloon”, Chaser Navigation guides the retrieve vehicle to the balloon, with voice guidance and quick rerouting when you leave the route. You decide how far off the road it may go: • Off – paved roads • Firm – plus firm farm and service tracks • All – every drivable track, for 4×4 retrieve vehicles Apple Maps and Google Maps remain available as alternatives.
PILOT VIEW While sharing, the pilot sees a simple map with altitude, vertical speed, speed, track and their own flight path – a basic backup in the basket.
COVERAGE • Hesse (Germany): routes are calculated entirely on the device, even without signal. • Rest of Europe (without Russia): routes come from our server and need a data connection. • A new balloon position always needs a data connection.
PRIVACY No account, no ads, no tracking. Shared positions are deleted after 4 hours at the latest. Background location only while a navigation you started is running or while you share.
NOTE The app is a guidance aid. Traffic rules, track conditions and landowners’ rights always come first.
