Why we expect it: The description is vivid and specific, and it makes a clear, distinctive case for radiosonde chasers.

About

BalloonChase is for the hour when a weather balloon is still a bright point and the radiosonde under it has a name. You open the app onto a light map, the same sky blue as the public tracker, and the live frames are already sitting where the community last heard them. A climbing balloon stays white. A parachute is drawn once the vertical speed turns down. A green dot means the hardware is near the ground. Pick a serial and the card under the map fills with altitude, temperature, pressure, and the speed of the fall, then the flight page draws the path you already missed and the landing still ahead. When the point is close enough to matter, Apple Maps takes the walking or the driving. Finds you make yourself stay on this iPhone as a wall of tiles, and a station log remembers the frames you caught. Chase Kit is there if you want the nearby heads-up and the longer notes. The chase itself does not wait for it.
