About
A collecting tool that lets you "capture" barcodes you spot out in the world — the same way you'd snap a photo, but built to build a collection.
Product packaging, posters, tickets — barcodes are everywhere. Point the camera, capture, and BarcodeCapture automatically detects the symbology (EAN-13, EAN-8, Code 128, Code 39, QR Code, PDF417, Aztec) and decodes the value, adding it to your collection like a specimen in a drawer.
WHAT IT DOES • Capture barcodes with the camera • Successfully decoded barcodes are redrawn as clean, crisp barcode images in your collection • Each capture keeps its date, symbology, and an optional note • Search by value, note, or symbology • Create a barcode manually from a typed value — handy for generating test samples for barcode-scanning development • Share captured images by email or any other app • Full dark mode support
PRIVACY This app makes no network connections at all. Every photo and every piece of data stays on your device — nothing is ever sent anywhere. No ads, no tracking.
A simple, independently made tool for anyone who enjoys collecting barcodes, or developers who need real barcode sample data to test a scanning feature.
