About

Can you crack the bitting? Bit-le is a daily logic puzzle inspired by the world of locksmithing, keys and lock depths. Your challenge is simple: discover the secret six-cut bitting in six attempts or fewer. Each guess gives you clues: BRASS means the depth is correct and in the correct chamber. NICKEL means that depth exists in the solution, but belongs in another chamber. GREY means the depth isn't part of the solution. Use the clues, eliminate possibilities and work your way towards the correct bitting. But there's another catch. Your bitting must obey the Maximum Adjacent Cut Specification (MACS). Bit-le uses a MACS value of 7, so adjacent cuts cannot differ by more than seven depths. Invalid combinations won't cost you an attempt, but you'll need to correct them before continuing. DAILY CHALLENGE Everyone receives the same Daily Challenge. Solve it in as few attempts and as little time as possible, then see how your result compares on the worldwide daily leaderboard. You get one official Daily Challenge result each day, so make those six guesses count. FREE PLAY Want another lock to crack? Free Play generates additional puzzles so you can keep testing your deduction skills. If you get stuck, Free Play also includes a limited number of assists that can provide a hint or reveal a cut. TRACK YOUR PROGRESS Bit-le keeps track of your Daily Challenge statistics, including games played, games solved, success rate, best result, average attempts and solving streaks. BUILT FOR LOCKSMITHS, BUT OPEN TO EVERYONE If you understand key bittings and MACS, you'll feel at home immediately. If you don't, Bit-le is an entertaining introduction to the logic behind them. There are no complicated accounts to create. Pick your cuts, submit your guess and start cracking. Bit-le is developed by Locksdownunder. Bringing It All Together.
