By Niko Peikrishvili · ProductivityWhy we expect it: Clear value and thorough care in the description make this a strong debut for readers seeking focus.
About
Pick up your phone and find your book instead of a feed. Bookidoro turns the moments you would spend scrolling into a page or two of the book you're reading, and those pages add up to finished books.
HOW IT WORKS • Start Focus for 10 to 60 minutes, or until you stop. Or turn Focus off and just read. • Your lock screen shows the countdown and where you left off: the last lines you read. • Reach for your phone, tap the card, and you're back on your page. One tap, no feed. • When the time is up, Bookidoro lets you know. Your place is always saved.
DEEP FOCUS Choose the apps that pull you away. During Focus they stay closed, and opening one offers your book instead. Bookidoro uses Apple's Screen Time and never learns which apps you picked.
YOUR LIBRARY, YOUR SHELVES • The book you're reading, in its cover's colours, with how far you are and the time left. • Shelves of your own: Philosophy, Book club, Summer… A book can sit on several. • Recently read, Want to read and Finished, one tap away. • More than 75,000 public-domain classics to browse and download right inside the app, in many languages.
HIGHLIGHTS Select a line and highlight it. Give your colours labels like Quote or Idea, add a note, and find every highlight later, by book, label or word. Tap a highlight to jump back to its page.
A CALM PLACE TO READ • The chapter you're in at the top, the page and time left at the bottom. • Paper, Sepia and Night page themes, applied to PDFs too, and adjustable text contrast. • Your typeface and text size for EPUB books, for every book or just one. • Page turns that slide or curl, if you like. • Two pages side by side on iPad in landscape. • Works with PDF and DRM-free EPUB books from Files, AirDrop, Mail or Messages.
WATCH YOUR READING ADD UP • Your week, month and year: pages, reading time and focus time. • Your streak, the days you read, and when in the day you read most. • For every book: your pace, the time left and the day you'll finish. • A small celebration when you finish, then on to the next one.
MAC, IPHONE AND IPAD, SAME PAGE Your library, shelves, highlights, reading positions and statistics sync through your own iCloud. Read during a work break on your Mac, and your iPhone opens on the same page.
BOOKIDORO PRO Turn any line into a beautiful quote card, or an animated video where the words appear one by one, ready for Instagram and TikTok: your choice of typeface, colours, highlighter and background. Everyone can design a card; saving and sharing cards and videos is part of Bookidoro Pro.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN No account and no sign-up. Your books and everything you read stay on your devices and in your own iCloud. Bookidoro never sees which apps you block. Anonymous usage statistics can be turned off in Settings.
SUBSCRIPTION Bookidoro Pro is an optional auto-renewable yearly subscription. It unlocks saving and sharing quote cards and videos, and removes the occasional reminder. One subscription covers Bookidoro on your Mac, iPhone and iPad. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the period. You can manage or cancel it in your Apple Account settings at any time.
Available in English, German and Georgian.
