In short

Day Recap: Daily Journal is a private iPhone diary where users rate each day from 1 to 10, add optional details like mood, sleep and gym visits, and write entries. Calendars tint each day by its rating, and insights compare days in your own journal, such as how sleep or good moods tend to line up with higher ratings. Data stays on the device with no account, ads or tracking.

About

See your life one day at a time.

Day Recap is a private daily journal built around one simple question: how was today? Rate it from 1 to 10, add a few details if you like, and write down what happened. Over time, your calendar becomes a colourful record of how your life actually felt.

RATE IT Every day gets a rating on a red-to-green scale. It takes a few seconds, and it's the only thing you have to do. Add as much or as little as you want on top: • Mood, energy, productivity and diet, each from 1 to 10 • Hours of sleep • Whether you went to the gym

REMEMBER IT • Write a diary entry about what happened • Note who you spent the day with • Star the days that matter and say why: a new job, a move, a wedding, a first marathon

SEE THE PATTERNS • Week, month and year calendars, every day tinted by its rating • A year view that shows your whole year at a glance, with your special days starred • Charts of your daily ratings and monthly averages • Insights that compare your days: how your rating tends to differ on days with more sleep, gym sessions, good moods or particular friends • A side-by-side look at your good days and the rest

Insights describe what tends to go together in your own journal. They're patterns, not medical advice or proof of cause, and every comparison shows how many days it's based on.

APPLE HEALTH, IF YOU WANT IT Connect Apple Health to fill in sleep and workouts automatically. Day Recap only reads sleep and workout data, never writes to Health, and never overwrites what you've entered yourself. Prefer not to connect? Everything works without it.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN Your journal stays on your iPhone. No account, no ads, no tracking, no analytics. Nothing you write leaves your device.

A GENTLE REMINDER Choose an evening reminder to take a minute to recap your day, or leave it off.

Day Recap is not a productivity coach and won't nag you with streaks. It's a quiet, personal record of your days, and a way to notice what your best ones have in common.
