About
Diplamus eBooks brings the Museum Collections of the Ionian University into an illustrated digital storybook for children, families and schools.
In "Stories Sleeping in the Attic", young Marina climbs up to her grandmother's attic and finds an old wooden chest with papers and a strange-looking machine. It is a typewriter, and with her grandmother's help she discovers how people wrote, printed and shared ideas before computers: from mechanical and electric typewriters to the printing presses that spread news and works of art.
• A beautifully illustrated story told across full-page spreads • Turn the pages of a 3D book, just like a real one • Tap highlighted elements to see real objects from the museum collections • Available in Greek and English editions • Connects Corfu's printing and education heritage with today's digital world
Created for the Museum Collections of the Ionian University in Corfu, Diplamus eBooks makes cultural heritage approachable for young readers and a useful companion for teachers and museum visits.
