About
Understand what is taking up space on your Mac with Disklume, a read-only visual storage explorer.
Start with a short introduction, then choose a folder on your Mac's internal storage. Disklume reads file metadata and builds a map from the actual scan results. No account is required.
EXPLORE YOUR STORAGE • Follow nested folders with an interactive Sunburst view. • Compare folder sizes with Treemap. • Browse lists, search names, filter results, and explore file categories. • Inspect file details, preview supported files, and reveal items in Finder.
UNDERSTAND CHANGES • Keep scan history on your Mac. • Compare saved scans to see which paths grew or shrank. • Track filesystem changes and rescan when your saved view becomes outdated. • Save favorite locations for navigation.
EXPORT ON YOUR TERMS Export results as CSV or JSON. File names and paths are excluded by default and can be included when you explicitly choose.
READ-ONLY BY DESIGN Disklume does not delete or move scanned files, upload scan data, or use analytics. Folder access is granted through macOS and remembered locally.
KNOW THE LIMITS Disklume supports internal storage on Apple Silicon Macs running macOS 14 or later. External, removable, and network drives are not supported. macOS permissions can limit coverage; inaccessible areas are reported. Full Disk Access does not replace folder authorization.
Sizes describe observed allocation, not guaranteed reclaimable space. Shared APFS blocks may overlap, and protected system or snapshot space may remain unknown. Cloud-only items may have limited metadata; scanning does not intentionally download their contents.
