A da Vinci workshop, rendered in brass and gravity.
In a lantern-lit workshop of brass and walnut, a marble waits at the top of a machine you cannot steer. Drag it into the top funnel and let go. Real gravity takes over, and the marble rolls, tips, and tumbles through the fixed contraption until it lands, ideally, in a bin that matches it.
Then look again. Every piece that marble crossed has changed for the marble behind it.
You plan the sequence. Physics does the rest.
You never steer a marble in flight. You read the machine, then choose the order you drop them in.
- The see-saw bit tips one way, then the other. The marble crossing it reroutes the next one. - The rotor does not toggle. It counts forward to its next exit with every pass. - The remote lever throws a switch from across the board. - The waterwheel never stops turning, so timing matters as much as logic. - The felt slows a marble to a crawl. It changes how late a marble arrives, never where it lands. - The wax seal carries the first marble across, then breaks. Every marble behind it drops through.
Every marble in a bin that matches it, every bin filled, and the level is solved.
A misfire is not a wall. Press the red knob and the machine re-cocks itself, ready for a new order. Walking out on a run already in motion costs your streak, so the machine asks first.
