About

Fanfic Tracker remembers what you have read so you do not have to.

It adds a small row of buttons under every story on Archive of Our Own and FanFiction.net in Safari. Tap once to mark a story In Progress or Completed, Like it or Dislike it, and Like or Dislike its author. The next time that story turns up in a search, a tag page or your bookmarks, its row is highlighted in your colors, so you can tell in a glance what you have finished, what you are halfway through and what you decided to skip.

Everything you mark also appears in the app, which is your reading log:

• LIBRARY. In Progress, Completed and Liked lists, plus Disliked stories and the authors you follow or avoid. Each entry opens the story in Safari. • YOUR COLORS. Pick the highlight color for each state and preview exactly how rows will look before you go back to Safari. Changes show up on open pages straight away. • EXPORT. Save your whole list as a file whenever you like. It is your data. • GUIDED SETUP. A short walkthrough shows how to turn the Safari extension on and allow it on the two sites. On iOS 26.2 and later it also shows whether the extension is on.

On Archive of Our Own, a File row sits under the other buttons: its download arrow opens the site's own download for that work (EPUB, MOBI, PDF, HTML or AZW3), saved by Safari to Files.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN • No account, no sign-in, no ads, no analytics. • Nothing you mark ever leaves your device unless you export it yourself. • The extension works only on archiveofourown.org and fanfiction.net, and only to add its buttons and highlights. It never reads or stores story text.

HOW IT WORKS 1. Open the app and follow the walkthrough to enable the extension in Settings, under Apps, Safari, Extensions. 2. Browse either site in Safari as usual. 3. Tap the buttons under a story. Open the app to see your lists.

Fanfic Tracker is an independent reading aid. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by the Organization for Transformative Works, Archive of Our Own or FanFiction.net.
