About
Find somewhere genuinely cool on a hot day, and somewhere properly cosy on a cold one.
FindTheCool is a UK guide to pubs, cafés and bars rated on real comfort, by the people who went there. Every rating shows how it felt and when it was last confirmed, so you can tell a place checked on Tuesday from one nobody has visited since last summer.
FIND • A map and list of rated places near you, or in any town or postcode • "Best nearby" puts well-rated places within a short walk first • How cool or cosy each place is, how many visitors rated it, and how recently • Directions in your maps app in one tap
CONFIRM Rating a place takes a few seconds with a free account. Say how it felt, add a photo or a comment, or report a place that has changed. Points, badges and a leaderboard keep score.
SNUG IN WINTER From October to March the same places are rated on how cosy and warm they are.
CRAWLS Plan a route of good places for an afternoon out, check in at each stop, and if you like, record your walk and turn it into a Crawl Card to keep or share.
THE WARDERY Regulars can stake a claim on the places they know best and take on other members in friendly territory play across the UK's pubs, cathedrals and castles.
WORKS WITH A WEAK SIGNAL Places and map tiles you have already looked at stay available offline, and ratings you make on the way are sent when you are back online.
Every rating comes from someone who went there no made-up reviews.
