FoldCam

Foldcam is a camera for the things you mean to keep: a child’s first year, a loft conversion, a trip, a startup. Give each one its own project, then record a clip or take a photo, and it goes straight into that project’s folder in the Files app. Not lost among thousands of shots in your camera roll.

A FOLDER FOR EACH PROJECT • Every project is a real folder in the Files app • Videos and photos are plain files, never added to your photo library • Record and Photo buttons sit at the bottom right, in reach of your thumb, ready for the project you last used

EVERY CLIP HAS A REAL NAME • Give a clip a title when you stop, and it becomes the file name, with the date and time on the end • Untitled clips are named by their date and time • The title and date are written into the file’s metadata too

A CAMERA THAT KEEPS UP • Opens on the front camera, ready to film • Switch between front and back mid-recording and still get one clip • Pause and carry on in the same clip • 0.5×, 1× and telephoto lenses, pinch to zoom, and stabilisation • Touch and hold the Foldcam icon for Record or Take Photo, and choose the project afterwards

KEEP IT TIDY • Play, rename, share, delete or move clips and photos, one or several at once • Trim videos without losing quality: nothing is re-encoded • Import videos and photos from Photos or Files, dated by when they were taken

YOUR FOLDER, YOUR BACKUP Foldcam saves to On My iPhone by default. Or choose any folder, in iCloud Drive, Dropbox or on a USB drive, and Foldcam saves straight there, so your videos are backed up and stay put even if you delete the app.

NO ADS. NO ACCOUNT. NO TRACKING. Pay once and it’s yours. No adverts, no sign-up and no subscription. Foldcam never sends your videos, your photos or anything about you anywhere.
