About

Gendarmerie by Dana Technologies helps you understand nearby radio observations and keep a private record of your own journey.

• Observe Bluetooth Low Energy advertisements with battery-conscious scans. • Explore an animated glass dashboard and a named Find me radar with relative signal trends. • Choose device categories for normal browsing; unusual and watched observations stay visible. • Review available manufacturer, service and pattern evidence with confidence indicators. • Review deliberately pasted links offline with destination and formatting cues. No address is fetched or opened. • View your locally stored 24-hour journey and clear local location history. • Create temporary or persistent location links, label intended recipients, optionally protect links with an editable six-digit PIN, and share through installed messaging apps. Revoke individual links or all links and the latest cloud point. • Use optional biometric/device-credential app access and set a local daily-summary reminder.

Observation and journey features work locally as a guest. Optional cloud sharing requires Sign in with Apple or Google, explicit consent, location permission and connectivity. Authorized viewer activity can increase foreground updates; operating-system background and network limits still apply.

iOS does not expose general Wi-Fi scanning. Observations do not prove device identity, malicious intent or physical-device counts. Signal strength does not establish exact distance, direction, height or a walking route. Gendarmerie cannot detect all hacking attempts, measure total RF exposure or certify health-limit compliance. It is not an emergency tracking service.

Safety hub: • Explicitly review pasted text locally for scam-pattern and link cues. Nothing is read automatically from your clipboard or other apps. • Enable original conservative English SMS/MMS rules, then activate Gendarmerie in Messages settings where available. Eligible unknown-sender filtering is controlled by the OS; iPad forwarding may use your iPhone. Contacts, iMessage and message history are not scanned. • Maintain your own call block, label and allow lists with system activation and reload controls. No contacts, call logs or recordings are read. Callers can spoof numbers. • Agree to a bounded public-HTTPS website check. The site sees your IP and requested path. Results show cookie security metadata and catalogue-matched HTML references; no JavaScript or linked resources run, and no cookies are retained or replayed. Dynamic trackers may not appear; Safari and other-app data are inaccessible. • Review supported device privacy status and a practical settings guide. These tools do not certify that malware or scams are absent.

Messages, pasted text and local call lists are not sent to Gendarmerie’s server. Heuristics can miss scams or flag legitimate messages; verify sensitive requests independently.
