About

GrowthFamily is a gentle on-device archive for a parent or caregiver. It is a witness to growth — not a chart of standard metrics, and not an app for a child to use. You keep firsts, quotes, and play: a first clear word, a curious question, a small kindness, a floor ritual. Each slip can hold a note, a date, optional personality hues, and an optional still. Age at the moment is computed from the birth date you typed. Photos you pick are copied onto this iPhone and stay there. The home is a nursery doorframe beside a sunlit scrapbook leaf — not a tab bar. Pencil marks on the doorframe filter the timeline by stage (newborn through school) or by age (six months through five and older). Watercolor chips on the leaf filter Firsts, Quotes, and Play. A search field finds wording across titles, notes, later-light reflections, and hues. A keepsake pin holds the slips you do not want to lose. A brass latch opens Settings. A looking-glass mark opens derived views. Name plates are first names and a birth date. Demonstration plates use invented names only — Lumen and Nori — and abstract stills without faces. You can add, edit, or delete every child, wonder, and thread. Deleting a name plate removes that child’s slips, threads, and copied stills. Canceling an edit leaves the last saved slip intact. Beyond the leaf, GrowthFamily includes six caregiver tools. Personality Drift arranges the hues you marked across doorframe stages and names what led a season — a witness of tags, not a test. Wonder Threads group related slips (a word bloom, a kindness chain, a floor orchestra) with create, edit, and unlink. Season Echo compares this stage with the one before it in firsts, quotes, play, and hues, in plain language. Later Light lets you attach a looking-back note to an older slip. Keepsake pins filter the leaf to what you have marked precious. Age-at-wonder writes how old the child was that day and drives the doorframe.
