When Princess Fuse's prayer beads scattered, eight of them flew across the land. Each bears a single virtue: Benevolence, Duty, Courtesy, Wisdom, Loyalty, Faith, Filial Piety, Brotherhood. Each has found its way to the heart of a young warrior.
A late-NES-style Japanese RPG based on Kyokutei Bakin's classic epic Nanso Satomi Hakkenden.
WHAT'S INSIDE - 11 story chapters: the sword Murasame, the duel atop Horyukaku, Funamushi, the Cursed Cat Mansion, the War in Kanto and Castle Inga. Gather the Eight Dog Warriors one by one - Choose your pilgrimage: play the stories of Keno, Daikaku and Shinbei in any order - Two squads, one night: split your eight warriors into two teams and assault a fortress and a supply depot at the same time - Bead gauge and combo arts: with all eight together, unleash "Hakken Tenrin" - Three endings: normal, true and secret
SIDE CONTENT - A bestiary of 100 yokai, 20 side quests, 24 ancient scrolls, 8 stone monuments, 30 local delicacies - 7 minigames: shooting gallery, fishing, goldfish scooping, tile breaking, kabuki line-matching, lost-child search, the Hundred-Foe Trial - A post-game eight-floor labyrinth: "Yatsufusa's Dream" - Virtue talismans to shape each warrior's growth, and fast palanquins between towns
CONTROLS A D-pad sits on the left of the screen, with A, B and menu buttons on the right (below the game on iPad). You can also tap to advance dialogue and tap menu items. Game controllers work too. Three difficulties: Story, Normal and Shura. Save anywhere.
Japanese and English. The game starts in Japanese if your device language is Japanese, and in English otherwise (change it under Language in the Settings app). AI was used to create the pixel art, music, code and text.
