About
It is 1920. The land is green, the towns are small, and nobody has built a railway yet. That is your job.
Haltwick is a transport tycoon game about building the lines that make a country grow. Lay roads and track, open stations and airports, and run buses, lorries, trains and planes between towns and industries. Carry passengers and cargo, earn money, and watch every town you serve grow from a village into a skyline over more than a hundred years.
FREE TO TRY. NO ADS. EVER. • Play free from 1920 to the end of 1922: three full game years to build your first lines before you decide • 100% ad-free: no banners, no videos, no pop-ups, not in the free years and not after • One purchase of the Full Game opens the whole century and keeps your company exactly as you left it • Every future content update is included with the Full Game, at no extra cost • No subscriptions, no energy timers, no account needed
PLAY ANYTIME, ANYWHERE • No internet needed: the whole game lives on your device, so it plays the same on a plane, on the underground or in the middle of nowhere • Your game saves on your device automatically, so you can stop any time and carry on right where you left off • No personal data collected, no tracking
BUILD YOUR NETWORK • Draw roads and railways across hills, rivers and coastlines, with bridges and tunnels where the land gets in the way • Build bus stops, cargo bays, rail stations with up to six platforms, engine sheds and airports in three sizes • Design your own trains: pick an engine, choose the cargo, add carts until it looks silly • Plan routes stop by stop, and let your vehicles do the rest
FROM 1920 TO THE FUTURE • 20 buses, 20 lorries, 20 locomotives and 20 aircraft, from 1920s omnibuses to electric lorries and fast modern trains • Research new models and watch old ones age, retire and get replaced • Towns change their clothes with the decades, from brick terraces to glass towers
A REAL ECONOMY • 31 kinds of cargo and 34 kinds of industry, from farms and collieries to steelworks and electronics plants • Feed a works what it needs and it produces goods to haul onward • Coal into a power station, and the whole town gets a boost • Banks, loans, finances and a company headquarters that grows with you
TOWNS THAT FEEL ALIVE • Every town has its own character, its own needs and its own pace of growth • Landmarks, stadiums, arenas, parks, beaches, harbours and busy streets full of people and traffic • Serve a town well and it rewards you with new streets, taller buildings and more passengers
A WORLD WORTH WATCHING • Four seasons: spring blossom, summer beaches, autumn colours and snowy winters • Weather that rolls in and out, drifting clouds and the odd morning mist • Hot air balloons, kites, regattas, fireworks on New Year's Eve, deer, foxes and swans • A calm, original soundtrack to build to
YOUR LAND, YOUR WAY • Three map sizes and five kinds of land: coast, islands, fjords, highlands and mainland • Ten town-naming styles, from English villages to Japanese towns, plus one that is just silly • Every map is generated fresh, so no two games are the same
