In short

Keep: Castles of the World is an education app in which a blurred castle appears each day, and the user guesses its name from four options to reveal a photograph, a 3D flyover, and a short story. It offers 200 castles across 64 countries, with twelve free and one purchase for the full atlas. The app keeps no account and no analytics, and nothing leaves the phone.

About

A castle you cannot quite see. Four names. One guess, and the veil lifts.

Keep is a small, beautiful atlas of the world's great castles, built like a rare book. Every day brings one veiled plate: a castle blurred to shadow, somewhere in Germany, or Japan, or Wales. Name it from four, and it resolves into a museum-mounted photograph, a three-dimensional flyover of its actual hill, and a five-card story.

WHAT YOU GET • The daily castle, and rounds of ten whenever you like • 200 castles across 64 countries, from Himeji to Neuschwanstein to Krak des Chevaliers • A 3D flyover of each one, so you can circle the walls • Street-level Look Around where Apple has photographed the ground • The story, set with an illuminated initial, from Wikipedia contributors • A "did you know" line written on your iPhone, by Apple Intelligence, from the article itself • Your atlas: how many you have seen, and your streak

HONESTLY MADE No account. No analytics. No location. Nothing you do leaves your phone. Twelve castles are free forever; one purchase opens the whole atlas, and there is no subscription.

Photographs are Creative Commons via Wikimedia Commons and every photographer is credited in the castle's own story and in About. Facts from Wikidata. Text from Wikipedia, CC BY-SA 4.0.
