About

You lock your apps. Someone else holds the key.

Keymate blocks the apps that eat your time, for real, with Apple's Screen Time. There's no "ignore limit" button. To open a blocked app, you ask your guardian: a friend, your partner, your roommate. They get a notification and decide in one tap: No, 5, 15 or 30 minutes. When time's up, everything locks again by itself.

WHY IT WORKS You can lie to yourself. Not to someone else. Asking "can I open an app?" at 1 a.m. makes you think twice. Most of the time, you don't even ask.

HOW IT WORKS • Pick the apps, categories or websites to lock • Send a link to your guardian. They install Keymate for free • Ask for time when you need it. They answer from the notification • Live Activity on your Lock Screen while you wait

BUILT FOR REAL LIFE • Up to 3 guardians: your request goes to all of them, the first to answer decides • Your rules, kept: you chose to have a guardian confirm before you loosen your own lock. You can still turn Keymate off anytime in iOS Settings (your guardians are told) • One joker a day: 5 minutes without waiting, for real emergencies (your guardians see it) • Look after each other: your guardian can hand you their key too • Your own stats, in the app

PRIVATE BY DESIGN Nothing that Screen Time provides ever leaves your iPhone: not the apps you block, not their names, not your screen time. Your guardians see your requests ("wants to open an app"), the answers, your joker, and an alert if you turn Keymate off. No ads, no tracking.

Made for adults who choose to help each other. Not parental control: you choose your apps and your guardians, and you can stop whenever you want.

SUBSCRIPTION Keymate requires a subscription for the person whose apps are locked: monthly or yearly, with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. In a pair, one subscription covers you both, and guardians never pay. The subscription covers the guardian service (requests, notifications, Live Activities), not Screen Time itself. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel anytime in your Apple Account settings.
