About
Leave the Resort is the travel app that stops you getting ripped off.
RIP-OFF CHECK Point your camera at a menu, a price board, a taxi quote or a currency exchange board. In seconds you see each price next to what it usually costs nearby — fair, pricey, or tourist trap — plus a tip on where to go instead. Share the verdict card.
RECEIPT CHECK Scan the bill before you pay. It catches totals that don't add up, a service charge plus a tip line, being charged in your home currency instead of the local one, and cover charges.
SCAM RADAR Live alerts from travelers about tourist scams near you — fake petitions, bracelet "gifts", fake tickets, costume photos — with what to do. Alerts last 24 hours and describe tactics, never people.
LIVE PRICES What travelers actually paid in the last few hours, right around you. Typical prices for beer, food and coffee, fair and pricey tags on the map, the "two-block rule" when the same thing is much cheaper a short walk away, and how much of a tourist tax the area charges.
MONEY EXCHANGE Airport vs. in-town booths side by side, checked against today's real rate: see exactly what percentage you'd lose before you hand over cash. Includes a converter that works offline.
AIRPORTS Arrival cards with the fare to trust and the scam to ignore, typical airport prices, live lounge status (crowd, seats, food, who gets in, is the day pass worth it) and layover mode: can you leave the airport, and what can you do?
BEFORE YOU LEAVE Country briefs that separate the law from what's actually enforced from mere custom — dress, drinking, drugs, vaping, drones, train fines — every legal claim linked to its source. Plus "show this" phrase cards for taxis and restaurants.
THE MAP, VERIFIED Bathrooms, bars, coffee you can work from, day passes, gyms and lounges — added by travelers standing there, with a photo, and confirmed with GPS check-ins.
CITY GUIDE What's on this month by traveler type, what things cost in the city, scams to watch for, and local tips.
