Liberate: Escape Room for Two
Not claimedTwo people wake up in neighbouring cells of an abandoned laboratory
By Simeon SCHROEDER · GamesAbout
Two people wake up in neighbouring cells of an abandoned laboratory. They cannot see each other. They can only hear each other. And neither will get out without the other.
Liberate is a co-op escape game for two players, each on their own device. No network, no connection between the phones: everything goes through your voice. Play side by side, over the phone or on a voice call.
A GAME YOU PLAY BY TALKING • Each player only sees their own cell, objects and documents. • The answer is always on the other side of the wall: describe what you see, listen, guide your partner. • Read a game code out to your partner, and you start together. • The solutions change with every game.
A STORY IN THREE CHAPTERS Iris and Leo, a sister and her brother, are subjects of the TANDEM programme, an experiment run for decades deep inside a bunker. Who is watching them? What does the Voice in the loudspeakers want? And why does this place feel so familiar? • 52 puzzles, about 3 hours for a duo new to the genre. • Progressive hints when you are stuck. • Several endings: at the end of the tunnel, each of you chooses alone, in secret, whether to wait for the other.
ONE PURCHASE FOR TWO Chapter 1 is free. Chapters 2 and 3 make up the full game, in a single purchase. And only one of you needs it: the buyer invites their partner into the game with a few digits read out loud.
• Two devices: one per player. Your partner can play on a different kind of device. • No account, no ads, no data collection. • In English and French. • Unsettling atmosphere, no gore.
