About

Pick a sound. Tap to place it. Make some music!

Hi! I’m an elementary music teacher, and I made MegaMusic to give kids a simple, playful way to experiment with making music. No music lessons required. No complicated music software. Just choose a sound, tap notes onto the staff, hit play, and hear your creation come to life.

MegaMusic is part music maker, part musical toy. Experiment with instruments and silly sounds, stack notes together, build melodies, and see what happens. Underneath all the fun is a real musical staff, so kids can begin discovering pitch, melody, rhythm, and composition simply by playing around.

MAKE MUSIC YOUR WAY - Pick from a colorful collection of instruments and playful sounds - Tap the staff to place notes and instantly hear them - Stack sounds together to make bigger, stranger combinations - Play back your creation and watch your song scroll by - Save your favorite songs and come back to them later - Experiment freely — there’s no wrong way to play

MADE FOR CURIOUS EARS! MegaMusic was designed to be easy enough for a child to start exploring almost immediately, while still having enough real musical structure for musicians, parents, and teachers to appreciate what’s happening underneath. I spend my days making music with elementary-school kids, and one thing has always been clear: some of the best learning happens when it feels like playing. That’s the idea behind MegaMusic: make music a fun thing to play with! Make something beautiful. Make something ridiculous. Make an entire song built from dog barks and cat meows! Just make some music.
