In short

Mihrabi: Prayer, Rakat & Qibla is a lifestyle app for Muslims that shows prayer times, sends athan alarms and reminders, and finds the qibla. It also includes a rakat counter that uses the phone camera or a phone laid on the mat. Prayer times follow ACJU timetables in Sri Lanka and standard calculation methods elsewhere, and the app works offline.

About

Mihrabi helps you pray on time and with focus. Made by Muslims, for Muslims.

ACCURATE PRAYER TIMES • The official All Ceylon Jamiyyathul Ulama (ACJU) timetables for all 13 zones in Sri Lanka, built in exactly as published. • Your zone is picked automatically from your location, or choose it yourself. • ACJU's adjustment for apartments and tall buildings. • Outside Sri Lanka, times are calculated with the method your country's authorities commonly use (Umm al-Qura, JAKIM, ISNA, Karachi, Muslim World League and more), with Standard or Hanafi Asr. • Hijri date, with an adjustment for local moon sighting. • Works offline.

ATHAN ALARMS AND REMINDERS • For each prayer, choose a notification with the athan or a full athan alarm. • Athan alarms ring even when your phone is on silent, like the Clock app. Ideal for Fajr. • Wake up at Fajr time, a set number of minutes before Fajr, or at a fixed time every day. • A Friday reminder to read Surat al-Kahf.

LOCK SCREEN AND HOME SCREEN WIDGETS • A live countdown to the next prayer, right on your Lock Screen. • During Fajr time, it counts down to sunrise so you know how long you have.

QIBLA FINDER • The exact direction to the Kaaba from where you are, with a compass that tells you when you're facing the qibla.

RAKAT COUNTER • Lost count of your rakats? Prop your phone up and Mihrabi keeps count for you, recognising standing, ruku, sujood and sitting. • A quiet voice can tell you which rakat you're on, and the prayer finishes by itself after the salams. • Or lay your phone on the mat and it counts each sujood.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN • We collect nothing. No account, no ads, no tracking, no analytics. • The camera is analysed live on your iPhone and never recorded. • Everything stays on your iPhone.

WHAT DOES MIHRABI MEAN? A mihrab is the niche in a mosque wall that shows the direction of the qibla. Mihrabi means "my mihrab": a place of prayer you carry with you.

The rakat counter is an aid and can make mistakes. Please check prayer times against your local mosque.
