In short

Mile Ledger keeps a mileage log automatically: it detects drives in the background, then asks business, personal, or charity with one tap from the Lock Screen or Apple Watch. At year end it builds a report with dated IRS rates, trip details, and PDF or spreadsheet export. It suits people who track vehicle miles for taxes, and its data stays on the iPhone and in the user's iCloud.

About

Mile Ledger keeps your mileage log for you.

It notices when you drive, records the trip, and asks one question when you arrive: was that business, personal, or charity? Answer with a single tap on the notification — from the Lock Screen or your Apple Watch — without opening the app.

At year end, Mile Ledger builds a mileage report your accountant can use: total miles, business miles valued at the IRS rate in force on each trip's date, charity miles at the charitable rate, and every trip listed with its date, addresses, distance and purpose. Export it as a PDF or a spreadsheet.

AUTOMATIC • Drives are detected and recorded in the background — no start or stop button. • Walks and bike rides are recognized and left out. • Drives in each of your cars are tracked separately.

ONE TAP TO FILE • Business, Personal or Charity, straight from the notification. • Link a calendar, and an appointment at the place you drove to fills in the business purpose for you. • Mile Ledger learns the places you visit and suggests the right category — it never files anything without you seeing it.

A REPORT YOUR ACCOUNTANT WILL ACCEPT • IRS rates held as a dated table, so a mid-year rate change is valued correctly. • A list of business trips still missing a purpose, so you can fill them in. • Odometer readings for each car, checked against your logged miles, with reminders every January.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN • No account, no sign-up, no ads, no tracking. • Your trips stay on your iPhone and in your own iCloud. Nothing is sent to us.

FOR TESLA OWNERS • Optional TezLab import brings in the car's own measured distances and odometer readings.

Mile Ledger records and organizes your mileage; it does not give tax advice. Whether a particular trip is deductible is a question for your tax professional.
