Moss - Focus with Arlo

Make a little room to focus—with Arlo by your side.

Moss helps you take an intentional break from distracting screen use. Start whenever you choose, pick a preset or custom duration, and work toward a daily quiet-minutes goal. Finished pauses help Arlo feel happy and grow your garden.

SCREEN TIME, ON YOUR TERMS Connect Apple's individual Screen Time authorization and choose distractions with Apple's private picker. Moss pauses your selected apps during a protected session. There are no mandatory scheduled downtimes. You can end a pause early, and assignment sessions include a safety release.

A LITTLE GOAL FOR ARLO Choose a daily goal, watch your progress, and keep the garden plants you've earned. Arlo has gentle calm, focused, happy and wistful reactions. Moss responds to voluntary check-ins; it does not detect arbitrary app reopening.

FOCUS ON AN ASSIGNMENT Add assignments yourself, or optionally review and import selected events from calendars already on your device. Moss can suggest an unfinished assignment due in the next seven days. Work on it with distractions paused, then confirm completion to unlock and make Arlo happy. Completion is your confirmation: Calendar events do not prove work is done, and this version does not verify Canvas submissions or grades.

KEEP ARLO CLOSE A Live Activity shows Arlo and your countdown on supported Lock Screens and Dynamic Island. iOS controls its presentation. Reopen Moss at the deadline to reconcile completion and remove the activity.

YOUR DATA STAYS WITH YOU Moss keeps assignments, preferences, journal and Screen Time selections on your device. No ads, analytics SDKs, account sign-up or developer-operated data service. Technical diagnostics stay local unless you choose to copy or share them.

An optional practice mode demonstrates the experience and is clearly labeled: it never blocks apps. Real protection requires Screen Time permission, selected distractions and a supported device.
