A LIBRARY FOR EVERY SITUATION IN LIFE More than 180 duas, arranged by situation: morning and evening, sleeping and waking, home and going out, mosque and ablution, meals and fasting, travel, hardship and anxiety, protection, forgiveness, family, illness and bereavement, Eid and Hajj, guidance, requests. Each dua in fully vowelled Arabic, with its transliteration, its meaning and its source.
THE VOICE WORKSHOP: TALQIN, AS WITH A TEACHER • A clean lectern with no written instructions: the fully vowelled Arabic in large type, its transliteration right beneath — two tiers on iPhone, the meaning as well on iPad. • "Listen again": the master recites — al-Husari for passages of the Quran, the device's Arabic voice for supplications — and his words light up under his voice; then the microphone opens by itself. "Recite": the microphone straight away, without the master. • The judge listens and answers on the words themselves: green for what is right, gold for what to polish, orange for what to repeat. The Arabic and the transliteration take the colour together. • Long supplications are practised step by step, then in full; the three Quls, surah by surah. • Targeted loop: tap two words to work on a difficult passage in a loop, then recite the whole verse as soon as it is mastered.
