My Moving Buddy keeps your belongings, photos and box numbers together in a searchable inventory. Start before the boxes are taped shut, check the details as you go, and tick things off when they arrive.
CAPTURE, THEN CHECK Add items by typing, attaching photos or recording voice notes. On supported Apple Intelligence devices, photo identification can suggest item details for you to review. Check every suggestion before relying on it: recognition quality varies by device and photo.
GIVE EVERYTHING A PLACE Organize belongings into places and groups for rooms, people or kinds of things. Add box numbers and mark Open First essentials so the first night is easier.
FIND IT AGAIN Search your inventory and open an item to see its attached photos. Ask Buddy about your belongings with Apple Intelligence or an optional compatible server you configure.
KEEP MOVING DAY SIMPLE Set a moving date for each place and tick off items as they arrive. Keep belongings that are staying out of your moving totals.
TAKE YOUR RECORDS WITH YOU Export Excel, CSV or a printable text-only PDF. Share photos and clips separately as a ZIP. Save a full .movingbuddy backup to restore your inventory and its media on another device. Spreadsheet exports are reports, not full backups.
Optional Final photos keeps dated photos and short clips of rooms and storage. An optional Face ID, Touch ID or device-passcode lock protects access to the app.
Free for your first 30 items. One in-app purchase, My Moving Buddy Full, unlocks unlimited items for good — no subscription or account. Everything you’ve saved stays viewable, searchable and exportable either way.
REQUIREMENTS & PRIVACY The app supports iPhone and iPad with iOS/iPadOS 17 or later. Apple Intelligence features require a supported device, iOS/iPadOS 26 or later, and Apple Intelligence enabled and available for your language and region. Photo identification uses image input where supported, or image labels and recognized text otherwise. Typing, search, organization, imports and exports work without AI. On-device voice transcription depends on device and language support.
Your inventory is stored on your device. My Moving Buddy has no account service, advertising or analytics SDK. If you choose a compatible server, relevant photos, text or inventory context are sent to that server. Exports and device backups may be stored wherever you choose. Location and maps use Apple services.
