In short

Each unlock opens the blocked list for 30 minutes, with six unlocks a day that reset at midnight. It stands out for keeping no account, server, analytics, or ads, and for keeping its Screen Time data on the iPhone.

About

Your feeds can wait.

NES, short for Not Every Second, keeps the apps and websites that pull you in closed until you decide to open them. 30 minutes at a time, 6 times a day.

HOW IT WORKS • Pick apps, categories, and websites with Apple's Screen Time picker. • A blocked app shows the Block Screen. To unlock, open Not Every Second. • Press Unlock, and everything on your Block List opens for 30 minutes. When the time is up, blocking comes back on its own, even if you close the app. • You get 6 Unlocks a day. They reset at midnight and don't carry over.

BUILT FOR WEAK MOMENTS • Adding an app takes effect at once. • Removing an app or turning blocking off takes effect the next day, so an impulse can't undo it. • Once today's Unlocks are used up, you can only add apps until tomorrow.

BETWEEN YOU AND YOUR DEVICE • No account, no server, no analytics, and no ads. • Screen Time gives the app opaque tokens instead of the names of what you chose. Those tokens and your Unlocks stay on your iPhone and are never sent anywhere.

GOOD TO KNOW • Not Every Second is free. • It needs iOS 18 or later. It blocks through Screen Time, so it asks for Screen Time access when you start.
