NetRecon discovers the devices on the private network your phone is connected to, works out what they are, and tells you which of them are quietly exposing something they shouldn’t.
DISCOVERY • TCP sweeps and Bonjour discovery across the subnet your phone is actually on • Categorisation from advertised services and open ports — router, phone, printer, TV and media, IoT, NAS, camera • Open ports, service banners and advertised names for every device found
SECURITY AUDIT (Pro) • Plaintext services — Telnet, FTP, unencrypted MQTT • Reachable admin interfaces on your gateway • Flat-network warnings when IoT and media devices share the LAN with personal hosts • Known-CVE matching against service banners • Ranked by severity, every finding with a specific fix
LIVE PROBES (Pro, opt-in) The default-credential probe makes real HTTP-Basic login attempts against the devices you scan. It is off by default. It is capped at three attempts per host so it cannot walk a device’s lockout counter, and it refuses to send credentials over TLS it could not verify.
WATCH THE NETWORK • Background rescans that notify you when a device you have never seen appears • The first scan sets the baseline, so you are not alerted about your own network
SHARE AND KEEP • Export an HTML report of the scan and audit (Pro) • Cast the dashboard to a TV with Google Cast
FREE AND PRO Free covers discovery of the first five devices in full, with ads. NetRecon Pro is a one-time purchase, not a subscription: it removes ads and the five-device cap, and unlocks the audit, live probes and report export.
PRIVACY Scan results stay on your device. NetRecon has no backend of ours.
NetRecon only scans the private network your phone is connected to.
