About
Clear sky tonight. But what is actually worth pointing the telescope at?
Night Dial Notes turns your coordinates, your telescope and your sky into a plan for this one night, then keeps a beautiful record of everything you saw.
HOW IT WORKS Tell it where you set up, how dark your sky is and what is on the mount. Turn the Night Dial to travel through the night: sunset, true darkness, moonrise and dawn pass under your finger. See which planets and Messier objects climb highest while the sky is dark, ranked for your aperture and tonight's Moon. Head outside, start a session and log each target as you find it.
WHY YOU WILL LOVE IT No more chasing a faint galaxy that sits in the trees or drowns in moonlight. You go out knowing the best hour for every target, and you come back with notes worth rereading.
THE NIGHT DIAL A ring that holds the whole night. Turn it and feel each hour click past, with a firmer tap when twilight ends or the Moon comes up. Your planned targets glow on the ring at their best moment.
SKY POINTER Raise your phone like a window onto the sky. The reticle follows your hand and locks onto the nearest target with a gentle thud.
THE EYEPIECE CASE Drag an eyepiece from the case into the focuser and watch the field of view snap to scale over the Moon, the Pleiades or Andromeda. Magnification, true field and exit pupil, felt rather than calculated.
SKETCH AT THE EYEPIECE Drag your finger to lay down soft nebulosity. Hold still and a star grows under your fingertip, brighter the longer you wait. Exactly how observers have drawn for centuries.
YOUR SKY, REMEMBERED Every session keeps its seeing, transparency, notes and sketches. A 110-cell Messier grid lights up as you go, from the first globular to the last faint galaxy.
PROTECTS YOUR NIGHT VISION After dusk the whole screen glows deep red, so your eyes stay dark-adapted at the eyepiece.
MADE FOR Backyard observers with a new Dobsonian. Club members on a dark-site weekend. Messier marathon runners. Anyone who wants to know what is up tonight.
Step outside. The sky is already turning.
