About
Norwegian built for people who have moved to Norway and have to learn the language properly — for Norskprøven, for work, for talking to the neighbours. The app teaches Bokmål.
WHAT IS INSIDE • 12,368 words and phrases, ordered by the Norwegian Kelly list rather than by an author's intuition • 351 texts from A1 to C1 — tap any word to see what it means and which form it is in • 87 grammar rules, each with an explanation and practice drills • 12,027 form drills: en/ei/et, the definite form, the plural, the tenses • The alphabet and pronunciation from scratch: kj and skj, the retroflex sounds, length, the two tones • 50 dialogues: the till, the doctor's, the neighbour, the job interview • 30 minimal pairs for the ear: tak / takk, kjøre / skjære
HOW IT WORKS Spaced repetition shows you a word exactly when you are about to forget it. Gender (en / ei / et) is learnt with the word, not from a separate list. Tap an inflected word in a text and the app names the form: husene is the definite plural of hus. Examples are spoken by the system voice.
NORSKPRØVEN Since September 2025 Norwegian can no longer be documented by hours attended on a course. You sit the test, run by HK-dir: the oral test at A2 for permanent residence, at B1 for citizenship. Everything here is built with that date in mind.
WALK MODE Start it and put the phone in your pocket. The word, a pause to remember it, the meaning, the word again. It works with the screen locked.
NO INTERNET, NO ACCOUNT Everything stays on the device. No sign-up, no analytics, no adverts. Your progress is never uploaded.
FREE 20 new words a day (50 on the first day), unlimited revision, the first 4 texts and the first 8 grammar rules — for good, with no trial period.
NORSK PRO Lifts the daily limit and opens every text, every grammar drill, the placement test and your personal path. Monthly, yearly with a 7-day free trial, or a one-time lifetime purchase.
Teaching order comes from the Norwegian Kelly list (Språkbanken, University of Gothenburg). Gender and every inflected form come from Norsk Ordbank (Språkrådet and the University of Bergen). Both CC BY 4.0, both credited in the app.
The interface is available in Ukrainian, English, Finnish and Swedish — those four languages and no others.
