By Patrick Russell · ProductivityWhy we expect it: A focused screenwriting workspace with clear value, no subscription, and local files that keep your writing on your Mac.
In short
Overview Revival is a Mac screenwriting app with a clean screenplay editor, a shared workspace for scenes, characters, and notes, and Focus modes that hide everything else. It suits screenwriters who want formatting and organization without heavy software. One standout point is that project files stay local on the Mac, with no account or subscription required.

Everything you need to bring your story to life. Overview Revival is a focused screenwriting workspace for Mac, built to help you write, organize, refine, and finish your screenplay without getting buried in the software. Write in a clean screenplay editor, organize scenes, characters, and notes in one place, then switch into Focus mode when you want everything else to disappear. Revival is designed around a simple idea: your screenwriting software should support the work, then get out of the way. • Professional screenplay formatting • Scenes, characters, and notes in one workspace • Light and dark Focus modes for distraction-free writing • PDF, Final Draft, and Fountain export • No watermarks on your screenplay or exports • Local project files — your writing stays on your Mac • No account required • No subscription From the first idea to the final draft, Overview Revival gives you the tools to write, refine, and finish your screenplay — your way.
