I made it as a simple replacement for the now-discontinued Pocket app's Listen feature, to get through my daily reading while cycling or at the gym.
Play.md saves your reading list in the app so you can listen or read offline. You can also highlight articles and choose a light, dark or low-contrast grey reading mode.
Make sure you download a better-quality voice on your iPhone: go to Settings → Accessibility → Read & Speak → Voices, choose a language, then download an Enhanced or Premium voice. On older iOS versions, look for Spoken Content instead of Read & Speak.
