Playa

Playa plays the M3U playlist from your TV provider on your iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV.

Playa is a player only. It contains no channels, streams or playlists, and it does not provide access to any content. You need a playlist from a service you are entitled to use.

PLAYLISTS • Add a playlist by its M3U address, or from a file on the Mac • Playlists open instantly from a cache and refresh in the background • Built for very large playlists

LIVE TV, FILMS AND SERIES • Playlists that mix live channels, films and series are split into sections • Series are grouped into shows and seasons • Films and episodes resume where you stopped

TV GUIDE • Now and next on every channel, with programme descriptions • A timeline guide for any group or list • Search the guide to find which channel is showing a programme • Follow teams, sports and shows, and see every upcoming broadcast in one list • Reads the guide address from your playlist, and finds it automatically for common provider formats

MAKE IT YOURS • Favourites and your own named lists, in the order you choose • Recently watched • Hide the groups you never use • Choose which list opens when the app starts (Mac and Apple TV)

PLAYBACK • Plays the common stream and file formats, with hardware decoding • Choose audio and subtitle tracks • On Apple TV, bring up the channel list with now and next over the picture, without stopping it • On iPhone and iPad, swipe the right edge for volume and the left edge for brightness • Careful with single-stream subscriptions: Playa never starts a stream by itself and closes one stream before opening the next

SYNC AND PRIVACY • Playlists, favourites, lists and resume positions sync through your own iCloud account • Optional PIN lock on each device • No accounts, no ads, no tracking • One purchase covers iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV
