About

PlayLimeade is an unofficial companion app for micromobility in Tel Aviv. Some scooter operators pay riders ride credit — at the time of writing, about 15 minutes — for taking a low-battery scooter to a swap station and swapping the battery yourself. Most of those scooters are not worth the walk. A few are. This app tells you which.

It reads the operator's public vehicle feed, finds the scooters with a low enough range to qualify, weighs the walk against what the credit is worth, and gives you one plain verdict: grab it, meh, or skip. The map shows every swap station in the city, and directions walk you to the scooter you pick. Start a ride session and, while you ride, it alerts you about dying scooters ahead of you. Turn on alerts, drop a home pin, and you get a nudge when two dying scooters are sitting at a swap station within about 500 m of home.

What it never does: it does not unlock scooters, does not connect to your rider account, does not know whether a station has batteries in stock, and is not affiliated with Lime or any other operator. The credit is the operator's to pay, change or stop, so the verdict is an estimate, never a promise. Your minutes live in the Lime app; PlayLimeade is just a tool to save you money. Location is used while the app is open and during a ride session you start. Hebrew and English, full right-to-left.
