About

Portbeat is a focused TCP reachability recorder for a site visit, studio network or small-office check. Enter a host or IP address and a port, choose a 2, 5 or 10 second interval, then keep the app open while it records each connection attempt.

A timing tape shows reached and failed attempts in order. Review timestamped rows, median and 95th percentile connect times, a reached percentage and the longest run of failures. Name saved sessions, add a field note, reopen them later and export a real timestamped CSV or PDF report through the iOS share sheet. On iPad, use a split workspace with the run list beside the timing tape and log.

Portbeat measures the time to make a TCP connection, including DNS resolution. It is not an ICMP ping, bandwidth test, background uptime monitor or proof that an application responds correctly. The session stops when the app moves to the background. The app contacts only the target you choose for the measurement.

One upfront purchase. No account, subscriptions, advertising, analytics, tracking or developer-server upload. Logs stay on your device unless you choose to share an exported file.
