Build a block Pick a piece — square, half triangle, hourglass, flying geese, two bars or curve — and tap a square on the block. Tap again to turn it. Start from a classic block like a Sawtooth Star, Ohio Star, Churn Dash or Drunkard's Path, or draw your own on a 2×2 to 8×8 grid.

Choose fabrics Two fabrics are always ready: Main fabric and Background. Pick a color, a print in that color — tonal, floral, calico, dot, gingham, stripe or batik, drawn at true scale — or a photo of the real fabric from your stash. Tap any patch to repaint it.

Lay out the quilt Rows and columns, sashing with cornerstones, up to three borders, and an on-point setting for diamonds. See the whole quilt as you change it.

Cut with confidence Pieces to cut lists every piece by fabric with the cut sizes quilters use — plus ⅞ for half-square triangles, plus 1¼ for quarter-squares and geese — and how much of each fabric to buy, with binding and backing. Print makes a PDF with the block, the quilt and a cutting plan for each fabric, ready to print, save or send.
