RangeOps is a private journal for lawful sport shooting at controlled ranges. Record the exact equipment setup and ammunition lot you used, work through a checklist during the session, measure paper-target groups from a photo, and compare only the sessions that used the same setup.
Armory • Your own records for firearms, optics, attachments, protective equipment and range gear, with a source and confidence for each • Versioned setups that snapshot exactly which records were used • An ammunition library per lot: cartridge, bullet, weight, ballistic coefficient and advertised velocity, all owner-recorded • Maintenance records
Sessions • Range profiles with the posted rules and emergency information • A checklist that verifies the setup, lot, target distance and conditions before you record anything • Conditions in °C or °F, wind on a clock-face dial, and station pressure read from the phone's barometer only when you tap • Range status you report yourself as cold, hot or unknown; the app never senses or controls the range • Completed shot strings tied to the exact conditions, setup and lot • A zero and adjustment log: optic settings recorded as dialed, grouped by setup version and lot
Paper Targets • Photograph a paper target, straighten it, calibrate a known distance and mark each impact • Extreme spread, mean radius, dispersion and group center, reproducible from the saved image
Range Tools • Unit conversion, chronograph summaries and ammunition inventory arithmetic • Measurements only: no trajectory, holds, sight adjustments or firing guidance
History and Reports • Compare sessions with the same setup and lot, with small-sample warnings • PDF reports that hide the range name and leave out photos unless you choose otherwise • CSV and JSON exports and a full local backup archive
Privacy No account. No ads. No analytics. No location. No network connection. Records are stored on your device with complete file protection, photos are stripped of metadata, and you can erase any session or everything at once.
RangeOps does not sell or link to firearms, ammunition or parts. It never identifies targets, tracks people or animals, maps locations, or tells anyone when or where to fire. Always follow the range officer and posted rules.
