Rechenweg Statistik

Rechenweg Statistik works through statistics and business mathematics step by step, from descriptive to inferential statistics: variance and standard deviation, correlation and regression, probability, confidence intervals and hypothesis testing. Every calculation comes with the complete worked solution in exam format (formula, values inserted, intermediate results, result) and an interactive chart. For the example of every method the worked solution is free, for your own numbers it comes with Pro.

THE MODULES • Descriptive statistics: frequencies, histogram, averages, variance, standard deviation and box plot • Concentration: Lorenz curve, Gini coefficient, concentration ratio and Herfindahl index • Association: contingency table, chi-squared, covariance, correlation and rank correlation • Regression: fitted line and parabola, coefficient of determination, residuals and forecast • Indices and time series: price and quantity indices, rebasing, moving averages, trend and seasonality • Probability: combinatorics, probability rules, conditional probability, tree diagram and Bayes' theorem • Random variables and distributions: expected value and variance, binomial, Poisson, exponential and normal distribution • Estimation and testing: point estimates, confidence intervals, sample size and hypothesis tests • Matrices and linear systems: matrix calculation, Gaussian elimination, inverse matrix, bills of materials and the Leontief model • Calculus for business: cost, revenue and profit, derivatives, extrema and elasticities • Linear programming: graphical solution, corners, standard form and the simplex method

LAB AND TOOLS In the lab you let chance run: coin and dice, urn model, Galton board, central limit theorem and confidence intervals. The distribution calculator handles the normal, t, chi-squared and F distribution from value to area and back. From a sample you calculate key figures.

PRACTICE AND LEARN Every method comes with problems in four levels, from the model solution to a problem without help. True-or-false statements check your understanding with the reason, and the practice exam follows the layout of real exams. With your exam date the study plan spreads the material backwards to that day, reviews come at the right time, and your progress shows how well you know it.

FOR EXAM DAY My formula sheet: choose the formulas you want with you and share them as an A4 sheet to copy out by hand. The function cards for spreadsheets drill German and English function names. Plus glossary, search and, if you like, the key sequence for your calculator. An optional reminder nudges you to study, at most once a day.

FREE AND PRO Free: every calculator with result, formulas and chart, one example per method with the complete worked solution, the model solutions of the problems, exam date with countdown and the progress overview. Pro: complete worked solution for your own numbers, problems of levels 2 to 4 with always new numbers and feedback on typical mistakes, practice exam, reviews at the right time, daily plan and study plan, exam readiness and study calendar, widget with the numbers of your daily plan, export of the worked solution and the formula sheet as PDF. Pro keeps growing: we keep adding new problems and topics.

Pro is available as a monthly, a semester (6 months) and a yearly subscription. The monthly subscription starts with a 7-day trial if you have not used it before. The store shows price and term before you buy. The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. You can manage and cancel it any time in your Apple ID settings.
